Installation Instructions
Step 1
Installation
- PLEASE CLOSE MITCHELL then Click Download and install MYPLACE4PARTS catalog.

Step 2
- OPEN MITCHELL and Click on Configuration / Special Maintenance / Toggle Catalog Availability.
- MAKE SURE YOU ARE IN THE MITCHELL SPLASH SCREEN AS SEEN BELOW.

Step 3
- TURN ON the Catalog/Catalogs you wish to use. CLICK SAVE TO CONTINUE.

Step 4
Configuration
- CONFIGURE THE VENDOR AND LINK TO YOUR CATALOG – Click Configuration / Vendor Setup.
- You can edit an existing Vendor and Link it to the Catalog you wish to use or Add a new one.

Step 5
- LINKING THE VENDOR TO THE CATALOG – Click Setup Link and Choose either the Auto Value or Bumper to Bumper Catalog and Click OK. You will need to Keep clicking OK to accept all the changes. Clicking Cancel will not save your changes.

Step 6
- Entering the User Name and Password.
- After you select your Catalog Link you will be prompted to enter a User Name and Password.
- You will use the Buyer ID as the User Name and Seller ID as the Password. YOUR MYPLACE CREDENTIALS WILL NOT WORK HERE. YOU NEED TO REQUEST A BUYER ID AND SELLER ID FROM YOUR PARTS SUPPLIER IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ONE.

Step 7
- COMPLETION – You can now open up a work order and you will see the Catalog You turned on and when you click on the Catalog Button it will launch MYPLACE4PARTS for whatever Supplier your linked to that button.

Basic Functionality
Step 1
Installation
- YOU NO LONGER NEED TO DOWNLOAD THE CATALOG. Inside your Mitchell Splash screen, select Configuration / Special Maintenance /Toggle Catalog availability. If Toggle Catalog availability is grayed out: You are not on the Mitchell splash screen. This is a requirement when you begin or the option will not be available (below is a screen shot of the Mitchell Slash Screen).

Step 2
- Select the Catalog you wish to turn on by moving the selector to ON. The new Catalogs are labeled as MP4P Auto Value or MP4P Bumper2b. If you are updating from a prior version, you will see that catalog as well on the screen. Once you have completed ALL the steps and have successfully launched the new Catalog, you can come back in this screen and turn off the prior catalog. They are labeled AutoValue or Bumper to Bumper.

Step 3
- Make sure to Click Save or your selection will not be saved.
Step 4
- Once you have enabled the Catalog, you need to configure the vendor to use the new catalog. Click on Configuration / Vendor Setup. Select the Vendor from the list and Click Edit. If the vendor is not listed click add new.

- If the Unlink button is not grayed out, then the vendor is currently linked using another catalog. Click Unlink to Unlink the Vendor. After doing that, the Unlink Button should be grayed out. Now click on the Setup Link Button. You would select either MP4P AutoValue or MP4P Bumper2b.

- Enter your Mitchell Credentials provided by your Parts Supplier. If you do not have your Mitchell Credentials, please contact your Part Store. Once you enter your credentials correctly and click Sign In, the sign in screen will go away. Keep Clicking OK to save your changes and return you to the Mitchell Splash Screen.

Step 7
- If you get an error that says Invalid Seller ID, that means you did not enter the correct credentials. Make sure you are entering Mitchell Credentials from your parts supplier and not you MyPlace4Parts Username and Password. Invalid Seller ID is a specific error and only indicates that the Username and Password you entered are not correct.

- Open up a work order and click on the new button. The latest Catalog buttons are the buttons with the black background. You can turn off the older button if you wish by returning to the Mitchell Splash Screen and selecting Configuration / Special Maintenance / Toggle Catalog Availability and turn off the Auto Value or Bumper to Bumper Catalog. Make sure to leave the MP4P AutoValue or MP4P Bumper2b Catalog on.

- The default directory C:\aesServer will be displayed as the install to directory, click install and the installer will download and install all the required files for this integration. It will then prompt you to select Catalog you wish to install. Select either Auto Value or Bumper to Bumper to activate the button inside Mitchell. (Please make sure you have exited Mitchell Prior to Clicking Install).
- After you click install you will receive a message saying "Mitchell SDK installed successfully".

- You may get a message saying "This Program might have not installed correctly" Double Click on "This program installed correctly".

Step 5
Configuration
- Once installation is complete, and the "SE" application is opened/restarted, the AutoValue / Bumper to Bumper catalog needs to be turned on. To do this, go to home screen where the initial home screen is displayed, (not the WIP Screen). Select Configurations | Special Maintenance | Toggle Catalog Availability from the menu and then turn on AutoValue or Bumper to Bumper by clicking on the button and make sure the button is turned "On".
- With AutoValue or Bumper to Bumper turned on, you will need to setup the link for an existing Vendor or create a new Vendor record to setup the 'AutoValue Link' or 'Bumper to Bumper Link'. To do this, go to Configurations | Vendor Setup from the Configuration menu. Either Edit an existing Vendor or add a new Vendor. On the Edit Vendor screen, Click on Setup Link. Choose Setup AutoValue Link or Bumper to Bumper and click OK. (If another link is already selected, you will need to first Unlink it and then Setup the link to AutoValue or Bumper to Bumper). You will then be asked to provide a Username and Password.
Note: You can use the MPFP Username and Password or use the download code in both fields. This is a required field and must be filled in but it does not affect the connection.
- Once you have entered your User Profile and Password and clicked OK, the AutoValue or Bumper to Bumper button will appear on the bottom section of your work orders. Your customer is now set up and ready to use the catalog.
Notice to Mitchell Users ONLY
A recent release has cause a problem for some Mitchell users. The following steps will fix this problem
1. Close out of your Mitchell application 2. Select (Click) the 'DOWNLOAD' link below that is highlighted in yellow 3. A download will start. Once completed, select to RUN this file. |

Steps
- STEP 1. Log in to http://shop.tekmetric.com and open your shop.
- STEP 2. From the Shop Dashboard select Vendors from the left navigation panel.
- STEP 3. Search for the Vendor name (Auto Value or Bumper to Bumper Store). If you do not find one, you can create a new one by clicking on the New Vendor button up at the top.
- STEP 4. If you are adding a New Vendor, you will enter your Parts Store Name and the Integration Credentials provided to you by your Parts Supplier. If you do not have integration credentials for tekmetric, contact your Parts Store and request a Seller ID / Buyer ID to integrate MyPlace4Parts inside tekmetric. If you receive an error “Myplace4Parts responded with the following error: Invalid seller/buyer id” please contact your parts store. This error means there is an issue with your integration credentials. Make sure to enter the Seller ID and Buyer ID in the Correct Fields and click SAVE.
- STEP 5. If you are editing an existing Vendor, click on the Integrations Tab and then the edit symbol so you can add your Integration Credentials.
- STEP 6: Enter your Integration Credentials provided by your Parts Supplier. If you do not have integration credentials for tekmetric, contact your Parts Store and request a Seller ID / Buyer ID to integrate MyPlace4Parts inside tekmetric. If you receive an error “Myplace4Parts responded with the following error: Invalid seller/buyer id” please contact your parts store. This error means there is an issue with your integration credentials. Make sure to enter the Seller ID and Buyer ID in the Correct Fields and click SAVE.
- STEP 7: The setup is complete. To test the integration, you can open an estimate and from the PartsHub click on the SHOP MYPLACE4PARTS button and select your Vendor. A new Webpage will open for MyPlace4Parts.

- RO Writer 2.60 or greater
- Seller ID / Buyer ID provided by your Auto parts Supplier. If you do not know your Seller ID / Buyer ID please contact your Parts Store.
- Older Version below 2.60
Installation
- There is no installation required.
- To configure RO Writer you must be at least in Version 2.60 or greater and have your Seller ID / Buyer ID provided BY YOUR PARTS SUPPLIER.

Step 1
Click on Configuration. (Version 2.60 will have a blue tint screen. This is a screen shot of a prior version, but the screen is the same) -

Click on Parts / Suppliers -
Step 3
Click to dropdown box to see if the supplier already exists or Create a new one. -
Step 4
To add a new one, enter a Supplier Code and a Supplier Name. -
Step 5
Set the Coverage Download Options It can manually and Automatically be downloaded. -

Click Save -

Then re-select the supplier you just created -
Step 8
Click on Add to enter the Electronic Ordering Interface Screen -
Step 9
Enter a Name for the Interface. Then enter the Seller ID and Buyer ID that you received from your Parts Supplier. If you do not have it contact your Parts Store to get one. Click Set Default to populate the default URL. Click Save to exit out of the configuration screen.

Steps
- STEP 1. Log into your Shop-Ware tenant, click on the Parts page, then Vendors.
- STEP 2. Click the blue "+ New Vendor" button, enter the applicable information, choose "MyPlaceForParts" as the Integrator, enter the Buyer ID/User Name Supplier ID / Password supplied by your Parts Supplier. If you do not have one request one from your parts supplier
- STEP 3. At the very bottom of the Vendor Information screen is an option for “Preferred” You can click the box to add the vendor as preferred and then Click the "Save and Close" button. That's it, you've added a Vendor and configured that Vendor to allow you to order from their catalog via Shop-Ware.
